I start with a miracle, sort of, yesterday we were at the Electronics district of the town getting my USB sound card repaired that had decided to go haywire on me and limiting what I can do on the recording front at the moment, anyway, after we dropped off the unit it was getting around evening rush hour time. Walking down the road back to the bus stop we passed several bus stops, now anyone that has visited us or has been to China will realise what I am about to say is bordering on a miracle. waiting at all the bus stops were hundreds of people who were actually queuing..... yes I know.... but they were queuing, calmly, no-one queue jumping, no frantic pushing, nothing just a nice orderly queue. I still think I was dreaming. Maybe there was something in the water or something.
Today was our car's MOT time again which it passed OK with no problems, at the end of it you get a nice windscreen sticker, now the only problem with these stickers is once you put them on they are a real pain in the arse to get off again, and now this year they have decided that it is now an offence to display out of date stickers which just about everyone has on their screens at the moment, we had 4 on ours, which we now have to scrape of, we've got 3 off but one seems to want to stay for good, so another go with the scraper tomorrow. I've got a UK tax disk holder for one of them which solves the problem for one type but we happen to need 2 at a time and the second one is square! so with that one were stuck (so to speak) with it on the screen. So now next year we have to go through the scraping again, at least the newer ones weren't too bad to get off, it is the old one that seems to have fused to the screen at the moment. Nothing is ever simple here... (have I mentioned that before?)
